THE COMPANY
Sogliano Ambiente S.p.A. is a modern services company specialized in the design, construction and management of waste disposal and recovery plants as well as biogas recovery plants.
Founded in December 1996 to manage the "Ginestreto" urban and special waste landfill in Sogliano al Rubicone, in time Sogliano Ambiente gained the expertise and honed professionalism that now enable it to meet the international challenges of applying waste disposal and treatment technologies to recover and make the most of materials and energy, and to do so in a truly environmentally friendly manner.
Thanks to the professionalism and expertise accrued in the sector, in 1998 the company acquired contracts to run two other landfills, owned by Hera S.p.A. Holding in the Province of Forlì - Cesena. The company deals with the disposal of non-hazardous waste both within and outside the provincial territory, managing and operating the landfills located in the area.
Moreover, since May 2006 Sogliano Ambiente has managed a waste sorting and upgrading plant, designed and built near the Ginestreto landfill. Here it recovers waste from separated waste collection. Besides managing and running the plants, Sogliano Ambiente also produces energy from the waste (cogeneration) and designs and builds new waste treatment, disposal and recovery plants certified by a public works qualification body (SOA).
Over the years the company has won contracts to run the electric power generation plants located near the Tessello, Civitella di Romagna, Urbino and Imola landfills as well as to manage the Sogliano al Rubicone landfill.
Sogliano Ambiente spa also has a subsidiary company, Sogliano Ambiente Trasporti, to transport waste to the disposal facilities and integrates its own services with project financing for waste treatment and disposal plants.
CODE OF ETHICS AND ORGANIZATIONAL MODEL
Sogliano Ambiente, whose work is performed day in and day out in full view of the communities where it works, has always based the way it works and provides services on such principles and values as transparency, clarity, reliability and credibility.
To ensure that these aims are achieved, in full compliance with current law and business ethics, on May 3, 2007 the Sogliano Ambiente S.p.A. Board of Directors approved the Organizational and Management Model as per Leg. Dec. 231/01 and the related “Code of Ethics”.
